Ross Township receives $708,130 State Grant

Ross Township has been awarded a $708,130 state grant by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, according to Senator Randy Vulakovich.

Ross Township will use the funding for the installation of an eastbound right-turn lane on Sewickley Oakmont Road at Perry Highway in conjunction with approximately 700 feet of sidewalk on the north side of Sewickley Oakmont Road from Perry Highway to Carriage Drive.

The township’s plan was among 42 highway, bridge, transit, ports and waterways, and bike and pedestrian projects sharing $49 million from the Multimodal Transportation Fund during the current round of funding.

“Ross Township’s project received broad bipartisan support,” said Senator Vulakovich. “I am pleased that PENNDOT is partnering with the community to fund this project that will improve safety and traffic flow in the area.”
