Senate Designates “Military Service Opportunity Month”

The Senate recently adopted a Resolution introduced by Senator Randy Vulakovich designating May 2017 as “Military Service Opportunity Month” in Pennsylvania.

Senate Resolution 42 salutes the United States armed forces for its positive impact in providing valuable training in a variety of high quality and highly marketable job skills.

“The military offers outstanding career and educational opportunities to all those who serve our nation,” said Senator Vulakovich, Chairman of the Senate Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee.  “Upon completion of service and using the training supplied by the military, members are academically and professionally prepared to provide a multitude of career services to our state; including, but not limited to, medical services, advanced cyber security, law enforcement services, comprehensive legal services, a full range of engineering skills, satellite technology, communications and network development, and logistical and administrative support.”
